Our classes provide individual attention through a 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio and a self-paced, project-based curriculum. We focus on fostering intellectual confidence, a growth mindset, and computational thinking skills through coding.
Equipment: Macs and PCs are strongly preferred for our online program. If you need to use a Chromebook, please make a note in your registration as it requires extra logistical coordination on our end. Tablets, smartphones, and iPads will not work.
Young Beginner Code
Young Beginner students (ages 6-8, co-ed) will develop typing and motor skills, expand their reading comprehension abilities, and start forming crucial computational thinking patterns as they piece together their first lines of code through Code.org before advancing into Scratch.
Beginner students (ages 8-14, co-ed) will have learned the building blocks of programming and will begin to discover how they can use their newfound computational and critical thinking skills to tackle more complex ideas and concepts.
Our GirlCode program is designed to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for girls, transgender, and gender non-conforming to learn to code. Beginner and Advanced classes offered.
High School Code
In the high school program (ages 14-17, co-ed), students will combine all the skills they’ve learned, launch solo projects, and learn to collaborate with other coders to pair-program on software projects of their creation.
